Its 3PM in office and i am deep down under thoughts of “how to complete this damn work” and leave at 8PM. Suddenly i receive an Email from team BlogAdda about Confirmation to attend “Make the Axis Acquaintance” meet.
Being an Axis bank customer from past 3years, i was obnoxious what it is all about. However in agenda it was written that it would be of fun and surprises. 
Finally the day arrived and started my journey to attend this Event. 

What is mobile banking with AXIS BANK APPLICATION?
“START BANKING A NEW WAY. YOUR WAY!” being the bank’s motto,
Banking with Axis Bank is now just a touch away with the New Axis Mobile on Android, IOS, Windows Smart Phone or Mobile Browser  – a simple, user-friendly, convenient and secure mobile application from Axis Bank.





The jovial team of Axis extended us a warm welcome and escorted us to their swanky conference room. The only thing on the agenda was the demo of the app… and of course, some light hearted talk and Q and A session.

In that conference room there were screens on which we, the bloggers, saw the live demo of the new Axis Bank app. 
                                  

Registration is a one-time process, after which, the app works like a charm. You literally carry the bank in your pocket! In addition to being simple and convenient, the app is very secure. Other than the two layers of security provided by your m-PIN and first-time physical registration, there is a third layer of security – your mobile number. The app is configured to detect the number you are signing in from. Even if you lose your phone, your accounts are safe as only you know your m-PIN. Likewise, this app can’t be prey to phishing scams as even if you disclose your m-PIN, only you will have your mobile phone to do the actual login.

We were shown the live demo on how to add a beneficiary account in without knowing too much of details. The Axis Bank employees showed us that how we can add any beneficiary account by merely three details like account number, mobile number and the photo of that account holder. Here it is important to know that we can either snap a photo of the beneficiary account holder or we can add the photograph from Facebook app itself. In this way the beneficiary account addition can be done immediately via the mobile banking app of Axis Bank. 



On the home screen we saw the first line displaying total balance and the last line contained four options as Accounts, Transfer, Recharge and Pay Bills. We were also given a demo on how to block and replace the credit card. Another important thing about this new Axis bank app is that we will be able to Switch ON or OFF our Debit Card as and when required. Sometimes we do forget our mobile pin number and in such cases we either head to online banking or the bank to get the new one. Well, now this can be done using the mobile banking app of Axis Bank.  


Checking Balance on the App
Most people (almost 95%) use their mobile banking apps just to check their account-balance. It is with this behaviour in mind that Axis Bank has designed their app to make it very simple to check one’s balance. Clicking on “Accounts” from the menu will show you your balance right at the top. You will also be able to see the balance for other accounts you have – even your credit card outstanding balance



Using the new Axis bank app the customers will earn reward points for transactions performed. After accumulation of reward points, the user can directly go to the e-commerce portal via this app and purchase products against the accumulated reward points. At last but not the least feature of this app is that it will show the dining offers nearby our vicinity and also locate the branch or ATM stations using GPS.
Point Redemption
The reward-points can be redeemed on a variety of products at the touch of a finger. Many popular brands such as Flipkart, Pizza Hut and Bookmyshow have tied up with Axis to provide you instant e-vouchers which will be emailed to your registered id.

What Next for the Axis App?
The Axis Mobile app is available on Android, iOS, Windows and via mobile web (web browser of the cellphone). The app is about 7.4MB on Android. The team, however, is working to bring the size down in the next release (slated for 15th March). They also have plans to bring in access to mutual funds for some of their customers in the April release. This app has a new release every 45 days.


As soon as the event got over, i immediately downloaded Axis mobile App on my cell, configured it and using it since 4day. It is extremely flawless and fast 😀
